NOTE TO SELF

Dude, you're not going to get an apartment or a job if you don't pick up the phone.
You've been gone maybe two weeks and already my memories of you are hypersatured with color and fuzzy about the edges.

Blood on the Tracks is my new favorite thing in the world

I just feel like Bob gets me right now. Also apparently this is the "sad album" according to Wikipedia, which I hadn't thought until I read it, which also happened to me when I listened to Beck's album, "Sea Change"......I like sad shit we already knew this, but whatever it's soooooo goood.

OMG SO GOOD

way to decadent to eat more than, say, 50 chips though

EXCUSE ME

Snoop is my favorite, probably because he seems to come from, I don't even know, diagonal field the most often (that was a pun on left field that probably didn't come across very well). Also nothing will ever be better than Gin and Juice so he can pretty much do what he wants. And he's tall, and if you've ever met me, you know that I have a weakness for tall people (miss you Teddy).

The events of the past month or so of my life seem to have one resounding message:

"Grow up and get your life together Kimberly, no one's going to do it for you."

Alright, fine. I'm trying dude.

Note to self

"I believe in manicures. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."

Maybe this is why I've had to go to therapy for the past 4 months

"There's something inherently American about paranoia. Given the increasing scarcity of rational things to fear in 20th century American society, we dream up theories whose inevitable result is the chaotic disruption of our comfortable, orderly life- usually with dastardly consequences. I think we get a perverse thrill that comes from it."

You Better Call Tyrone

Have this Erykah Badu quote and video (quote fom my friend Vanessa's fb page and video from the fact that Allison always plays it)

How many people have you truly loved?
"I've always wanted the best for the people in my life. Except for one person: Bombita. She was in the fifth grade with me. And she can die."

What?
"She was mean. She used to step on my toes, anything to make me mad. I hope she's a ghetto statistic. And if that keeps me out of Heaven, then so be it."

-an interview with Erykah Badu

I'm most in love with Billy Crudup's Character from Almost Famous

And this is my favorite movie scene of all-time. Yeah I'm going to be that epic about it.

I AM SO SEEING THIS EXCUSE ME I LOVE DAVID SPADE
For various reasons, I am relatively certain that this is what my insides look like currently.

Labels:

I am not transitioning well by any stretch of the imagination

I have, however, watched all of season 4 of "Say Yes to the Dress" in two days.

it doesn't matter anyways, filling out job applications is starting to make me feel crazier than I already am, just sending electronic representation of myself out into the ether and never hearing back about anything.

I also (almost) got scammed for an apartment on craigslist but my internet guide saved me (thanks, Anna).

Movie Characters that I relate to too much,

or want to relate to, which may partially explain why I'm crazy and may always get confused/upset when my life doesn't pan out the way everyone's does in the movies:

1. Penny Lane, "Almost Famous"

Never gonna be that pretty or that cool, but I am that delusional/escapist/why wasn't I born during this time period?

2. Alice, "Closer"
I feel like that face too often. "No one will ever love you as much as I do; why isn't love enough?" Yep, it's really over-dramatic and I don't care, maybe because I think Natalie Portman is the most beautiful woman ever, or maybe because I'm a ball of cheese. Anyways I don't get it either, Natalie. (womp womp)

*Also Natalie Portman in "Garden State", is probably how I felt like 3 years ago, which probably just means I want to be Natalie Portman and I'm shallow...or that I'm jaded now? uhhhhhh

3. Allie in "The Notebook"

She gets real crazy/violent/yell-y too? I don't know, just thought I'd put the two movies that most other people hate next to each other

4. Suzanna, "Girl, Interuppted"
May or may not have diagnosed myself with Borderline Personality Disorder right after I saw this. My therapist disagrees, and she's probs right, but I've never related to a character more than this one, probably because I think I'm crazier than other people think I am

5. Nora, "Broken English"
Watched this yesterday, liked it, I also often wander around drunkenly by myself when I've decided I should try to be social and go to a party, and try to keep my shit together

....I don't know why I did that. Also most if not all of these female characters are defined by their relationships with their male love interests, which is bullshit, especially since it's probs why I relate/want to relate too much. Fuck this.
